Oh, Mary! Fort Lauderdale Theatre reviews
first in 30 years
I found it hard to enjoy some of the concert as mostly the girls were SCREAMING all around us killing my ears with their high pitch yells of affection/approval. Sam did what he is good at, we did enjoy the concert. I am glad I had a napkin in my pocket that I divided into small wads to stick in my ears to deaden the yelling. Sam had the vol. turned to the max possibly because of all the yelling. Now being our 60's and enjoying present music and having time to enjoy the possibilities of concerts, we like it as we afforded good seats and didn't have to join the crowd standing on the main deck. I just don't remember all the yelling from my days going to the Avalon ball room in San Francisco in the 60's to see the Dead and Big Brother, probably since most were stoned in those days and would stand and sway to the music. Oh! I do remember standing at Avalon as I don't remember any seating, the only thing I remember was the escalator to the ball room. Now, have to keep an eye out for another concert to take the wife to.
